Adult Volunteers
"A process that seeks to raise capacity within a population to take charge of its own spiritual, social and intellectual development."
Adults and families play a key role in the process of building communities. Adults in the community can train to serve as facilitators for parent gatherings, children's class teachers and offering spaces for collective prayer. They can undertake training to offer these services - often through weekly sessions, sometimes known as 'study circles' or periodic residential family camps.
The sequence of courses offered by the Ruhi Institute brings together groups of friends from all backgrounds, in an enthusiastic environment that encourages them to deepen their knowledge, strengthen spiritual qualities and attitudes, and develop habits that enable them to see themselves as active protagonists in their communities. These courses draw on the Writings of the Bahá'í Faith that allow participants to reflect on spiritual insights and gain the practical skills needed to advance on a path of service together.
